We log each unit by serial number, type, capacity, and last service date. Cylinders with visible damage, deep corrosion, or expired hydrostatic test dates are flagged for replacement.
The extinguisher is fully discharged in a controlled area. The valve, hose, nozzle, siphon tube, and gauge are removed for inspection and cleaning.
Cylinders due for hydrostatic testing are pressure-tested per the manufacturer's interval (typically every 5–12 years depending on type). This confirms the cylinder can safely hold its rated pressure.
We refill with the correct extinguishing agent for the unit type — ABC dry chemical powder, CO2, wet chemical (potassium acetate), foam AFFF, or HFC-236fa clean agent — using calibrated equipment to hit the exact rated charge weight.
The extinguisher is repressurized with dry nitrogen (for stored-pressure types) and leak-tested. The pressure gauge is verified to read in the green operating zone.
We reassemble the unit, attach a new BFP-compliant service tag showing the refill date and next service due date, and deliver it back to your site ready for installation.

As a general guide for the Cebu market: ABC dry chemical extinguishers are the most economical to refill, CO2 and wet chemical units cost more because of the agent and equipment required, and HFC-236fa clean agent units are the most expensive because of the agent itself.
